About me
Hello, I am Chiara.
Mum of three, I have worked in Graphic design for most of my life and I am now more into illustration and surface pattern design.
I setup Art Start Academy to offer parents simple and reliable after school classes that allow their kids to follow their aspirations with friendly and knowledgeable guidance on the different materials and techniques.

We explore many different art and craft techniques such as printmaking, collage, stencil, still-life drawing, portrait drawing, watercolours, mixed media to name just some.
Exploring & Owning
Our classes are structured to help children experiment
and discover their favourite media and styles and enable them to use their learning in their future art endeavours.
Fun + Learning
During classes we briefly explore artistic movements and inspirational characters and masterpieces connected with the technique in use, we add little knowledge to the fun!

All materials provided
Your child will only need to bring a bottle of water and a snack.
We provide anything else they need.

Dirty hands
clean clothes
While we can’t take responsibility for your child’s clothes, we offer paint shirts and encourage the kids to use them as overall.

Art fun +
art knowledge
The main aim of our classes is fun, but we like to provide our budding artists with bite-size information on art techniques, famous artists and masterpieces to help them build their artistic background and knowledge of possible artistic careers and outcomes.

Looking at the future
We encourage children to work together, share their learning and exchange suggestions, clearing the path for team work and collaboration.

03 – Faceless Pictures
We will never publish any pictures in which your child is recognisable. We keep the images for our promotion to groups photographed from the back, or with artwork hiding them, or busy dirty hands and lots of artworks.
